General information to help you plan a move to Asheville

Here are a few general sources useful for planning a relocation to Asheville. These sites combine a large amount of information and paint a broad picture of our area.

Here are some of The Bourke Group’s recommended neighborhoods and communities

Lakeview Park is a north Asheville Neighborhood that was created along with Beaver Lake by noted landscape architect and urban planner John Nolen.  There are approximately 485 homes in the community which all surround Beaver Lake and Park and it is owned by the residents.  The benefit of living here is that centrally located in the community is the North Asheville Country Club and you are just within walking distance to the North Asheville Public Library, shops, and dining.

Biltmore Lake is a 62-acre mountain community with lush landscaping, campsites, large lake for paddling/canoeing/kayaking, walking trails, outdoor areas for social gatherings… all just 15 minutes to downtown Asheville.  The neighborhood features historical, contemporary, and Arts & Crafts style homes as well as cottages, tucked into a quiet setting that you’ll never want to leave.

Reynolds Mountain is a high-end mixed-use development just 10 minutes from downtown Asheville, convenient to I-26/I-240.  Within the community, you can find a YMCA, shops, dining, apartments and misc commercial buildings.

Asheville is a huge community that combines the arts, great food, and nature into the everyday lives of its citizens. The following links are to sites that are specific sources and each describes a smaller niche of our community – an art gallery, a festival, a school, etc. A move to Asheville will give you lots of time to visit local attractions, but you may benefit by learning about them ahead of time. We maintain these links by hand and we’ve tried to pick out the ones that that would be most helpful if we were gathering information about moving to Asheville or learning about Asheville Real Estate for the first time.
